grooveKIDS is a group percussion experience for children in grades 1 through 6. This is a FUN 30 minute session that is designed to teach younger students about teamwork, listening skills, as well as build some confidence while we are at it!

One of the key things we focus on in these session are listening skills. Very simply, passing a rhythm around the circle, where each student listens to the player before them, then copies what they hear, and so on down the line. Simple exercises like this really refines the students’ listening skills - which is a benefit that has application in school and at home!

This is also a physical activity and one that involves no screen time whatsoever - so it is a great way to get your kids into an activity where they put the phones and tablets down!
